Position Summary:

While operating under limited Supervision, our Welders are required to set up and operate hand welding equipment.Our fabrication team is dedicated to making the right bumpers, grumpers, snowplows, and mounting brackets to support our internal and external customer demands.


Essential Functions:

  1. Ability to MIG Weld - Performs singular welds, with minimal passes and long passes without stopping.
  2. Ability to rough cut and operate orbital sander
  3. Work from blueprints or verbalized instructions.
  4. Checks height, depth, thickness and other measurements as required by process using measuring instruments.
  5. May rotate into other positions within the company as required to meet production requirements.
  6. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled.
  7. Implements the Quality Policy and procedures in all aspects of daily duties and responsibilities.
  8. Assists in preventative maintenance tasks and shop clean up.
  9. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. 6 months of experience in Fabrication, MIG welding preferred.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Must possess basic reading, writing and advanced math skills.
  2. Must be able to read and follow work instructions, blueprints and weld call-outs.
  3. Must possess good mechanical aptitude demonstrated in previous fabrication operations or like activities.
  4. Must be able to stand and perform repetitive motion activities for extended period of time.
  5. Must be able to work under limited supervision.
  6. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 60 lbs.
  7. Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  8. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  9. Responsible for prompt and regular attendance on-site. May be required to work overtime as needed.

Availability Requirements:

Due to the nature and scope of the essential functions of this position, regular attendance is required.

Approximately 40 hours/week is required to efficiently perform the job duties of this position, including presence at designated internal and external meetings. This position may also require availability and accessibility to respond to and address emergencies and critical situations outside of normal business operating hours in the early mornings, evenings, and/or during weekends. Overtime may be scheduled and required to meet departmental needs.

Available Shifts:

  • 1st shift - Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm, with occasional overtime
  • 3rd – Sunday to Friday 9:30pm – 6:00am, with occasional overtime.


Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence at the highest levels in the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Strong conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Mathematical Skills:

Must have mathematical skills equivalent to those required under degree requirements. Higher skills may be required depending on actual job duties.

Physical and Visual Activities:

Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Acuity-Far, Acuity-Near, Depth Perception, and Field of Vision.

Physical Demands:

May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. May require lifting up to 80 pounds with assistance.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:

Must be able to work in a shop environment, as well as a usual office environment. May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software:

Personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, other office equipment, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. May minimally operate test equipment and/or basic hand tools.
