Your Role

Reporting to the Manager, Facility Engineering, you will join a team of facilities engineers and contribute to daily site operations, including the creation and modification of site operating procedures, change management tickets, timely incident reporting, and site maintenance and repairs/inspections to ensure data center operations achieve the highest level of availability. You'll perform rounds, respond to issues that arise, and monitor building operations including adjustments to the HVAC, electrical, BMS, emergency generators and fire/life safety systems. You'll also maintain chilled water, air conditioning, ventilating and other mechanical and electrical equipment.

Your Qualifications

To be a good fit for the Facility Engineer II opportunity, you will have:
  • 5+ years of experience with at least one facility operating / engineering trade (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety systems). Data center experience is a plus.
    • Note:We're seeking a Facility Engineer II, butare also open to engineers with less experience. As long as you know the basic components of refrigeration systems, have basic electrical knowledge, a great attitude, and the desire to learn, we'd like to hear from you.
  • Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in areas of non-expertise (i.e., electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice-versa).
  • Solid MS Office Suite skills, including Word and advanced ability in Excel required.
  • A high level of commitment to customer service with both co-workers and clients.
  • A collaborative, team player mentality.
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime as necessary and to respond to emergencies.
