Paraprofessional
Location: Grant, OK
Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our school munity in Grant, OK. The Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support the academic and behavioral needs of students in the classroom. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one assistance to students, implementing instructional activities under the direction of the teacher, and assisting with classroom management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to their educational success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Assist students with instructional activities, including reading, writing, math, and other subject areas
- Implement behavior management strategies and support positive behavior in the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create and implement individualized educational plans for students
- Monitor student progress and municate with teachers and parents/guardians as needed
- Assist with classroom organization and preparation of instructional materials
- Supervise students during transitions, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- pletion of a paraprofessional training program preferred
Certifications:
- Certification as a paraprofessional (Paraeducator I or II) preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting
- Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow directions from classroom teachers
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students
