About Us: Sunbelt has partnered with an incredibly supportive school district who is in search of a Behavior Technician. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for all students, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.
Job Description: As a School-Based ABA Technician with Sunbelt, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism and other developmental disabilities in reaching their full potential within the school setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing individualized ABA therapy programs in collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and special education staff.
- Providing direct one-on-one and small group ABA therapy sessions to students with autism, focusing on skill acquisition, behavior management, and social communication.
- Collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to integrate ABA principles and strategies into the classroom environment.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized education programs (IEPs) for students receiving ABA services.
Qualifications:
- RBT Certification or experience in ABA
- Previous experience working with students with autism or other developmental disabilities in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
