Job Description
CNC Machinist – Machinist (Manufacturing)
An excellent client based in the local area is actively seeking an experienced and dependable CNC Machinist to join their industrial production team. You will set up and program various tools and equipment to create, modify, and produce quality products. During production, you must monitor the machinery and conduct regular quality checks to ensure they are running properly and that parts are produced according to specifications. Accuracy is crucial to production, so individuals must pay attention to detail and be focused on their work. This is a full-time permanent staff opportunity, with a competitive hourly rate.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure CNC machinery is in proper working order
- Set up machinery to successfully conduct the run as specified
- Conduct machine adjustments as required
- Monitor the run throughout the cycle, checking that specifications are met
- Perform all necessary machine maintenance
- Always follow safety standards
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately
- Keep work areas clean and organized
CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist i.e. (Lathes, Drilling, Milling, Grinding Machines)
- Proficiency in grinding & milling
- Electrical discharge machining (EDM) experience
- Able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions
