Robert Half is searching for a Help Desk Technician for a Managed Service Provider client in Longview, Washington. The primary responsibility of this Help Desk Technician is to work on basic end-user support tasks like imaging new laptops, basic hardware and software troubleshooting, and delivering new equipment to their clients as needed. This is a 100% onsite opportunity that would be short-term in duration (about 4 weeks) with potential to extend or convert into a permanent position based on performance and fit.


Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Provide timely support to end users of PCs, Macs, iOS and Android devices, and multiple business applications.
  • Use, edit and help create technical documentation and manuals.
  • Provide onsite support to customers when needed, using your own vehicle.
  • Present technical information and instructions clearly and logically in plain, nontechnical language to those that don’t understand technology.
  • Use an IT Help Desk ticketing system.
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT support working directly with end-users remotely and in-person
  • Proficiency with Windows OS
  • Strong familiarity of Active Directory
  • Proven knowledge of Basic Troubleshooting
  • Foundational knowledge in Hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with IT support ticketing systems
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
