Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Seattle, WA.. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will work with students who have a range of special needs, providing them with individualized instruction and support to help them achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction to students in a variety of subjects, adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including classroom teachers, therapists, and parents, to ensure that each student receives comprehensive support.
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in the state
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to autism, intellectual disabilities, and learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA.
