Receiving Clerk

Viking is looking for a motivated person who can multi-task in a busy environment. The individual buts be organized, detail oriented, able to work alone and well with others.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process incoming materials and verify type and quantities are accurate
• Tag and put incoming freight and special orders in appropriate areas
• Track and process returns to venders
• Work closely with Dispatcher to communicate and schedule customer deliveries on orders when they are received
• Prepare customer orders to include retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas in accordance with customer invoices.
• Operate fork lift to load, unload and stock merchandise as needed.
• Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures.
• Report customer complaints to Manager or Officers.
• Inventory goods and notify Manager of shortages and needed goods to be ordered.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Removal & Shoveling of Snow from material piles and yard during Winter Months

• Lifting up to 100 pounds

Education/Training: Experience:

• Prior lumber yard experience helpful.
• Prior building materials experience helpful.

Certifications/Licenses: Fork Lift
