Organization
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, reconciling and entering data. Updates payroll records, and correctly and appropriately processes new hire paperwork and electronic personnel actions. Duties will include but are not limited to:
    Enter, Approve, and Verify payroll. Send reminders to managers when timesheets are due in payroll. Enter transfers on Payroll Entry Transfer form. Do supplemental payment forms. Send hourly and monthly reconciled paid leave reports to Managers.Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Create Personnel Action Forms for new hires, terminations, status changes.Process New Hire Packets, to include I-9s and background checks. Create and maintain multiple databases and reports, maintain filing systems for employees and previous employees, and other necessary information.Drafting, typing and proofreading memoranda, letters, reports and records Assisting with day-to-day responsibility for coordinating and performing specialized clerical functions for Operations Finance Payroll while keeping necessary confidential information. Other related duties as assigned.


Job Location
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED and
    24 months office/clerical/administrative experience. 
Skills:
  • Creativity in composing or presenting oral and written communication
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Word processing; proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manipulate pre-packaged software to accomplish computer specific tasks 
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to communicate and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong initiative to solve problems
  • Able to navigate and maintain databases
  • Customer Service
  • General office skills, such as multi-line phone system, copying, filing, faxing, mail, and email.
Advertised Physical Requirements: Must be able to engage in repetitive motions, communicate, and see.  Will be required to use a computer. Stress caused by busy periods.  Department Preferences:
  • 5 years experience with large volume organizational payroll
  • 3 years experience with enterprise data management systems
  • 3 years experience maintaining confidential employee records
