Job Summary: The VP, Information Technology sets the direction for information technology at Restek, through leadership, project execution, strategic planning, communication, and collaboration. Must be an exceptional people-focused leader with broad, hands-on technical skills to lead Restek through growth. This position is responsible for oversight of all IT resources inclusive of staffing and budget and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Job Duties:

  1. Leads development of the global IT strategy and roadmap; ensures its integration with the company’s strategic planning process, to fulfill the needs of the business strategy and plans.
  2. Leads the enterprise-wide IT function including cybersecurity, governance, architecture, information management, solution delivery, service management and day-to-day operations of the global network, storage, security, compliance, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  3. Develops, fosters, and maintains positive working and collaborative relationships with business leaders across the company. Acts as a trusted advisor to develop a clear understanding of business needs.
  4. Remains current on new technologies and platforms and provides direction on what emerging technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company. Manages the launch of on-time and on-budget IT solutions that have a positive business impact.
  5. Leads the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  6. Accountable for the Data Privacy function at Restek, focused on helping to achieve General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Privacy regulation compliance. Supports related processes, serves as a subject matter expert, and develops and implements a robust compliance plan.
  7. Develops and maintains an IT workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies that balance the needs between growing the agility required to achieved business objectives and ensuring the core IT functions are reliable, stable, and efficient.
  8. Fosters an engaged work environment within the department, encouraging accountability, open communication, teamwork, and a commitment to serving the customer.
  9. Ensures that appropriate communication and alignment occurs throughout IT by facilitating/participating in regular meetings, conducting regular team meetings, encouraging an open-door policy, and proactively seeking feedback from team members.
  10. Drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the enterprise.
  11. Reviews, establishes, and implements IT policies, procedures and service level agreements throughout the company to ensure KPIs are met.
  12. Prepares and monitors IT expense & capital budgets that meet the company’s objectives and constraints.
  13. Directs the development of an IT sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
  14. Leads by example. Exemplifies Restek’s expectations of leaders and core values.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Master’s degree in information technology or other related field preferred; Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in Information Technology with at least 8+ years of IT leadership experience and 5 years working in a global environment
  • Broad experience in the development and execution of a progressive, realistic, and global IT strategy in support of company strategic growth and commercialization plans
  • Experience with selection, implementation & maintenance of widely adopted global hardware, applications, and systems, including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), CRM, PLM, etc.
  • Experience leading IT Infrastructure, Development, Service Desk, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and Business Intelligence teams

  • Expertise to develop and successfully execute short-term, long-term, and strategic plans that enable the Company’s overall strategic direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged & satisfied, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering on project plans and ROI targets.
  • Deep knowledge of IT systems, ERP optimization, server/cloud capabilities, commercial applications, and sales enablement technology. Demonstrated understanding of sales analytics and BI tools to utilize real-time data for business decisions.
  • Current knowledge of and experience in overseeing GDPR and Data Privacy regulations
  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to analyze business information and develop logical solutions.
  • Experience in a high-tech manufacturing organization and understanding of best practices in the use of IT.
  • Superior interpersonal skills: Demonstrated collaboration with business leaders to utilize technology in support of business objectives.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical and complex information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
