The Uftring Auto Group consists of eleven automotive franchises at six car dealerships in Peoria, East Peoria, Washington and North Pekin, Illinois. Responsibilities
- Perform multi point safety inspections and examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or maintenance work is required
- Note additional work needed and provide cost estimate
- Perform routine maintenance and PDIs
- Perform simple manufacturers updates, including recalls
- Perform repairs as directed
- Assist Lube and Service Technicians in the shop as directed
- Document all work performed
- Road test vehicles to quality check work performed
- Keep Service vehicle neat, clean, and stocked
- Understand and follow Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Attend training, shop meetings, and continue education provided by the manufacturers to improve competence level
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
- Maintain CSI level established by manufacturer and dealership standards
Qualifications
- Technician Background at an auto manufacturer
- Must have knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, including warranty guidelines
- Excellent customer interaction skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools and other equipment
- Able to work independently
- Desire to work, learn, and deliver customer satisfaction every time
- Above average computer skills
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Hours
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
