ANNOUNCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Police Aide

Prescott Police Department

Part-Time Temporary

Not eligible for all benefits, will accrue paid sick time

19 Hours/Week


Starting Pay Range: $16.02

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Full Pay Range: $16.02 to $17.91

Essential Duties:

  • Performs reviews of body camera footage to complete redaction for release. Maintains a record of time required to complete redactions and log of redactions performed.

  • Answers routine inquiries and makes proper disposition or directs them to proper authorities;
  • Accurately enters data or other information obtained from various areas for use in reporting;
  • Opens, sorts, files and routes mail, products, materials, and other paperwork;
  • Logs information received from telephone;
  • Maintains forms and supply inventory at police facilities and distributes supplies, equipment and forms to Police Officers as requested and directed to assist the Quartermaster with various projects and duties;
  • Drives police vehicles between the maintenance shop and police briefing stations;
  • Indexes, codes, alphabetizes and files a variety of records;
  • Consults with supervisor regarding non-routine matters.
  • Transports reports and other paperwork to division headquarters;
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance in a self-directed environment;
  • Demonstrates superior seamless customer service, integrity, and commitment to innovation, efficiency, and fiscally responsible activity;
  • Assist as needed and directed by the Property and Evidence Section with various duties related to property, data entry, disposition or destruction, reports and other documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School diploma or the equivalent required. Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license in good standing and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.

Physical Demands And Working Conditions:

  • Sufficient to effectively and safely perform required duties and to safely operate required equipment and city vehicle as needed.
  • Must be able to remain in a seated position for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
