Transmission Technician

Job Summary:
The Transmission Technician for Brinson Auto Group in Athens, Texas, is a skilled labor position responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of transmissions in all types of vehicles. The position is to be occupied by a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and is dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full time, hourly position with compensation ranging between $30 to $40 per hour. Benefits packages will include health insurance and 401k options.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair transmission-related issues with both manual and automatic transmissions
• Take apart, inspect, and reassemble transmissions
• Test transmission components
• Make repairs using specialized tools and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service and explain technical issues to non-technical customers
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
• Automotive transmission experience and/or certification
• Understanding of electronic and mechanical principles related to automotive technology
• Familiarity with various tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers
• Valid driver’s license
