Job Description
The Production Supervisor supervises all shift employees and complies with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises all personnel and operations on the shift. Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Reports any process and equipment problems.
- Calls the Maintenance Supervisor on evenings and weekends for assistance with problems.
- Organizes work for smooth operations.
- Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Verifies correct identification, weights, and warehousing of products.
- Distributes plant status reports to the next-shift Supervisor and Department Manager.
- Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
- Completes production reporting.
- Troubleshoots problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5-10 years Industrial Supervision
