We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant at Steven Silverman MD, you will work closely with our healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient care and clinic operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Take and record patient medical history, vitals, and other essential information.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of supplies.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Collect specimens, and conduct routine procedures.
  • Provide patient education on medications, diet, and lifestyle changes.
  • Schedule patient appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage medical records.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as managing medical supplies.
  • Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and safety standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and keep up-to-date with medical advancements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and common medical procedures.
  • Proficiency in conducting basic laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, providing compassionate patient care.
  • Highly organized with exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Experience in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
