Welder (multiple openings - Byron, GA)


Top-tier manufacturing company in Macon, Georgia, experiencing rapid growth and expansion. We are currently looking to hire five dedicated Welders to join our dynamic team. If you have welding skills and the passion to contribute to a thriving manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you.

Job Details:

  • Position: Welder (Multiple Openings)
  • Shift: First Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
  • Pay Range: $18 to $26 per hour (Pay rate varies based on skills and experience)
  • Skill Level: Entry-level to Experienced
  • Weld Test: Required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metal components according to specifications.
  • Conduct weld tests to assess welding skills and determine the appropriate pay rate.
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly to the maintenance team.
  • Inspect and assess the quality of welds to meet industry and company standards.
  • Work closely with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
  • Assist in material preparation by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to optimize production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous welding experience is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc welding) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
