Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting in operations of the Additive Manufacturing (AM) process. This position will assist to maintain throughput and apply cleaning and finishing techniques to completed parts. Work efficiency and attention to detail is crucial for success.
Essential Functions
- Read and interpret prints, specification sheets, and/or 3D files.
- Perform basic post processing and finishing techniques of completed 3D printed parts.
- Perform visual inspection of parts per specifications.
- Assist with cleaning and preventative maintenance of machines, tools, and workstations.
- Basic knowledge of print reading.
- Basic knowledge of 3D printing material properties.
- Basic knowledge of commonly used hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate motivation and accountability to achieve individual and department goals; work effectively under pressure.
- Organize, prioritize and manage multiple simple to medium complexity projects in a cross-functional environment.
- Grasp simple concepts and use basic problem-solving skills to complete and initiate new tasks
- Ability to respond and adapt quickly to changing circumstances and facility needs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to produce high quality parts
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years’ experience in additive manufacturing or model making preferred
- Monday - Friday, 1st shift
