Summary

At New Oak Academy, we are looking for an AWESOME teacher to join our AMAZING team. Someone who thrives in a supportive fun work environment, believes children learn best through hands-on experiences, wants to grow professionally, and is passionate about Early Childhood Education. Is that you?

The teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, implementing the curriculum, having great communication skills, effectively resolving conflict when needed, partnering with parents to achieve a successful school for the students, potty training, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Also, has knowledge about children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
  • Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to school.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.(preferred not required)
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must clear a full background check and must pass a health screening.
