About Hospice of Wichita Falls

For over 38 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit community-based hospice in the area, providing services in 12 North Texas counties. Our wonderful nursing staff meets our patients and families where they are, private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, or our free standing 12 bed inpatient center. Your Life as an Resource RN

Your role is very important to our patients and organization. We meet our patients where they are and this position will serve our patients in all counties. We will rely on you to ensure that all patients you visit have addressed any nursing needs or determine the need for other team members to assist. To achieve this you will assist the patient or family in determining the best plan of care that meets their needs. We are a team and it is your role to direct other team members and ensure that they are exceeding our patient's expectations. We want to share your extraordinary care and need to make sure that we are able to process billing. You are responsible for documenting your care and ensuring your team members are as well. This documentation should paint the picture of your patient, so if another team member is given the honor of serving that patient they are aware of their expectation and know what is currently working. Your focus will always be on your patient's greatest needs and providing "Care, Hope, and Support for all when Illness threatens life."

Job Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing

Recipient of a current license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners

Ability to understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/and problems of terminally ill patients in a home setting.

Possess critical thinking skills.

Compassionate

Effective Communication both written and oral.
