The Opportunity

This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.

The Senior Supply Planner manages production planning for their assigned product (s).  Position is responsible for translating commercial Demand and inventory strategies / targets into effective supply plans.  Supply Planner will manage production plans that span multiple plants.  Incumbent will be required to coordinate with Demand Planning, Manufacturing Operations & Third Party Manufacturing Ops, Commercial for the US and international business teams and other planners to resolve plant scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints.  The Senior Supply Planner is primarily focused on the next 24 months horizon.  Incumbent is expected to work independently, with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Work On

  • The Senior Supply Planner translates external environment conditions and demands from Demand Planners into comprehensive manufacturing plans under MRP philosophy.
  • Maintain internal and external customer service levels for all assigned products.
  • Manage plant throughput within customer service, capacity, efficiency, and inventory plan framework.
  • Coordinate with Project management groups, project activity and New Product Introductions, new processes, etc.
  • Identify, resolve and communicate low/or excess obsolete stock position for all assigned SKUs.
  • Develop production plans for monthly S&OP, Annual Plan cycles.
  • For all assigned products, maintain integrity of forecast passes, finished goods inventory planning, APO inventory planning, master scheduling and capacity requirements planning data for all assigned products sourced from the U.S.
  • For all assigned products, identify and direct the planning activities associated with the allocation of finished goods in current or projected low stock position.
  • Participate in decision-making meetings on plant manpower loading and/or premium labor (overtime-contract labor)
  • Manage and direct inventory investment activities.
  • Work directly with plants to perform rough cut capacity planning in support of 24 month planning horizon.
  • Present at monthly meetings with Plant and Division operations to review and implement operations strategies.
  • Hold leadership roles within department related to training and system support.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical reports and scenario plans that support Commercial and Supply Chain strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING  

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree: Business, Finance, Science or Engineering disciplines preferred or 5+ years of experience in supply chain related roles.

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
