Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk position is responsible for materials coming into the facility and when they go out. This position has a deep clerical side and needs a keen eye for details and follow through. The Primary responsibility for this position is to ensure that all shipments are handled accordingly and errors are kept to a minimum. The secondary responsibility is to ensure that all inbound shipments are thoroughly inspected and counted properly and all information relayed about them is done in a detailed and thorough manner.

The following is a brief outline of the majority of the day-to-day responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk position:

• Print all shipping labels for both Primary Kits production and the Coupler Division
• Schedule all truck lines and carriers for daily shipments
• Produce all paperwork needed to ship with the carriers, (BOM’s, Commercial Invoices, etc.…)
• Conduct visual inspections on all packaging to ensure the highest standards are being followed
• Label and secure crates from Primary kits for shipping
• Label, strap, palletize, pallet strap, and stretch wrap all Coupler Kits for shipping
• Create and submit an End of the Day report for all shipments
• Receive all in-bound shipments by matching content to the packing slips
• Communicate any damages or problems with the in-bound shipments with Purchasing
• Help stock all in-bound inventory to the proper warehouse locations
