We are seeking an experienced Wedding & Event Sales Manager to join our team! The Wedding & Events Sales Manager at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is responsible for driving wedding and special event sales revenue by effectively promoting and selling the hotel's venues and services. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests. The Wedding & Events Sales Manager works closely with guests to understand their needs and preferences, coordinates with various departments within the hotel to ensure seamless execution of weddings and events, and actively seeks out new business opportunities to expand our wedding and event clientele. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Proactively promote and sell the hotel's venues, packages, and services to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners, event coordinators, vendors, and other industry professionals to generate leads and referrals.
  • Conduct site tours for prospective clients and effectively communicate the unique selling points of our venues.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, including brochures, presentations, and online content, to attract wedding and special event business.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements to clients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Work closely with the catering and banquet teams to ensure that all details are accurately communicated and executed according to the clients' specifications.
  • Coordinate with other hotel departments, including food and beverage, housekeeping, and engineering, to ensure seamless delivery of services for events.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent the hotel and generate leads.
  • In partnership with Director of Sales & Marketing, conduct on-site wedding and special event showcases


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in luxury hotels or event venues.
  • Strong understanding of wedding trends, traditions, and cultural preferences.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certified Wedding Planner (CWP) designation or similar credentials are a plus.
