Job Summary: The ability to lead and direct employees and also responsible for interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that quality expectations are met.

Required Education and Experience:

• Community College courses in Quality related discipline
• Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral
• Minimum 3 - 4 years' experience in similar role

• Through knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Proficient in the understanding and use of Statistical process control (SPC), Stamping and Welding processes.

• Proficient in the use of measuring equipment (i.e. venires, micrometer, height gauges, profile projector, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• High level of time management
• Familiar with TS16949/ISO 14001 quality and environmental manager standards

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for working with quality roles; Quality Inspectors or Auditors, and Sort Inspectors (SRA), to ensure the appropriate training, and direction is given to ensure high performance of tasks to meet scheduled requirements.
• Verifies process Poke-Yoke systems are operating correctly.
• Identifies gaps in current Poke-Yoke systems.
• Updates and re-creates "Red Rabbit" parts on a regular basis.
• Maintain record and logs.
• Communicates openly with others, keeping them informed of issues and progress, shares job knowledge and works effectively with others.
• Notify supervision of any safety, quality, material or mechanical issues
• Conduct capability studies and gauge R&R analysis, quality experiments and testing as required.
• Coordinates activities with other departments personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in meetings scheduled requirements.
• Participate and provide inputs to the continuous improvement program to enhance the quality of the products and/or processes.
• Ensure that production identification, traceability, process control, packaging instructions, first off/last off procedures are all being adhered to
• Responsible for trouble shooting, root cause analysis, SPC data analysis, implementation and maintain up to date quality documentations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement ideas.
• Assist with the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing quality system requirements.
• Communicating and reporting out on daily shift issues, tasks, project status to other Quality team members on various shifts
• Assist with the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing quality system requirements.
• Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

Work Environment:

• 65-75 Plant Floor
• 35-25 Office/Desk
• Travel 10%

Physical Demands:

• Constant communication with employees, peers, and management

• Overtime as required.

• Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures.
• Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company.
