A growing and innovative multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Traffic Project Engineer to their Columbus team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT, and private clients
- Produce/review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecasting
- Establish guidelines for cost estimates
- Review/approve cost estimates prepared by others
- Project Manager duties as needed
- Serve as subject matter expert
- Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully addresses client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues.
- Independently develop projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years of Traffic Engineering experience
- Ohio PE License
- P.T.O.E. preferred
- Road Safety Professional preferred
- Experience with MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3D
- Experience using other design-related software (SignCad, AutoTurn, HCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, Rodel)
- Travel demand modeling preferred
- Basic/advanced GIS capabilities preferred
- Knowledge of MUTCD policies/procedures
Salary is commensurate with experience.
