Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The outside sales position is responsible for building MEI Rigging & Crating, LLC relationships with businesses and industrial establishments to provide solutions, resources and abilities.

• Build, establish and maintain customer relationships to maximize sales.
• Estimate and manage projects to ensure company deliverable are achieved.
• Actively and consistently contact and manage leads and prospect lists.
• Develop relationships with existing and new customers.
• Build solid customer base of recurring business.
• Coordinate job walks and assist with customer bids/estimates to accurately price projects. Manage and maintain all customer information.
• Build customers relationships with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentations, negotiations, persuasion and listening.
• Develop highly effective relationships with customers, business partners, operations management and support staff.
• Effectively manage projects by organizing all project information to ensure work orders are accurate and contain all necessary information.
• Consistently gain knowledge regarding industry and market information and trends.
• Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
• Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Manage customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
• Develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Assist with collections and accounts receivable as required.
• Actively participate in sales meetings. Administer historical records by maintaining data on area and customer sales.
• Local travel required for client prospecting and client site meetings.
• Maintain active quotes through MEI portal and follow-up to closure.
• Maintain pipeline of project and account activity as required.
• Create annual forecast for territory accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Project or Construction Management or related degree a plus.
• Minimum five (5) years proven sales experience or comparable field preferably within the construction, transportation/distribution, crating/packing or rigging industry.

• Proven track record in the market (location) serving.
• Excel in competitive, fast paced sales and services environment.
• Strong numerical data analysis abilities and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Must exhibit outgoing, cooperative and positive demeanor.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Highly self-directed, self-motivated, adaptable and outgoing.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications and CRM software.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Standard office environment including work at a computer terminal. Work involves extended periods of sitting, occasional walking and lifting up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
