Production Supervisor
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Spencerville, IN within the Industrial Painting and Finishing industry.
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise production personnel as directed by Plant Superintendent
- Observe and train employees to use correct procedures.
- Identify workload of all given areas and identify personnel needed to complete production.
- Must be able to recognize sensitive business and personnel issues and maintain those issues in confidence.
- Assist employees when problem arise.
- Maintain all paperwork associated with their department including; traveling process inspection sheets and prints, production reports, daily verification sheets, booth inspections, mixing logs and product identification tags.
- Monitor and maintain all inventory items associated with the production demands of their departments including all supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor and control proper disposal of paint related waste.
- Maintain housekeeping within all areas of the Finishing facility including production, storage, and waste disposal.
- The Supervisor has the authority to stop production.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to wear a respirator per Spirometer testing, if required in your area.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in the finishing industry recommended. (Management review is required for exceptions).
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience. (Management review is required for exceptions).
- Must have the ability to learn all aspects of the operation that falls under the authority of the Production Supervisor.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving ability; study and standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of workers.
- Well Organized.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize schedules.
- Ability to work against and meet deadlines.
- Ability to count and do simple math.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required to meet customer demands.
- Physical Movement: Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, and occasionally climbing steps or ladders. Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and move 50 or more pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for eight or more hours. Using fingers, hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders to manipulate paint guns and small tools such as, paint brushes, pencils, box cutters and tape.
