Leadership Training Specialist

With over a decade of experience providing quality autism therapy services in the Midwest, Lighthouse Autism Center brings together compassionate care and clinical excellence to support children and families with autism. We are seeking a highly motivated Training Specialist to join our Human Resource Team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing the leadership and behavioral competencies of our employees by developing and delivering training programs that align with our company’s core values. You will be responsible for conducting training needs assessments, designing engaging curriculum, and learning materials, and overseeing all aspects of training interventions. Your primary objective will be to boost workplace performance and drive professional growth within our organization. As a Training Specialist, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training gaps and develop targeted solutions to address them. You will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. To excel in this role, you should have a strong passion for learning and development, excellent INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and engage with employees at all levels. Your creativity, attention to detail, and organizational abilities will be critical in delivering impactful training initiatives. Your current residence is in the Midwest region; travel is required to support our teams in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Nebraska.

What you bring:

• 2 to 5 years of current employment that includes proven success in developing corporate training curriculum to build leadership competencies and personal effectiveness throughout the company.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
• Experience with Blanchard, Covey, or similar programs.
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Articulate, Canva, Camtasia and/or other video editing software.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation with active auto insurance (travel is required).
• Current residence is in the Midwest region; travel is required to support our teams in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Nebraska.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field
• Certification in instructional design
• Two - Five years of training experience
• Professional certification in HR such as PHR, SPHR, or PIRHA

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up 15 pounds at times.
• Travel required 50% of the time.
