Job Description
Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Internal Account Manager to join our sales team to help bring on new accounts as well as grow existing business. The successful team player will provide excellent customer service to current customers as well as convert leads into ongoing customers by building strong connections with them and maintain ongoing relationships to ensure additional product sales in the future.
Our ideal candidate is a sales-oriented professional who values productivity and customer engagement and excels in a pay for performance role. You should have knowledge of sales and customer service best practices and be goal oriented. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with customers to understand their needs and ensure a smooth sales/account management process. You should also be comfortable developing leads through various lead generation methods. You should be able to close sales and meet targets. We expect you to perform well in a team environment and have exceptional people skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring all current customers receive excellent levels of support through engagement, training and education
Identifying areas of opportunities with current customers to upsell and train
Providing education to current and prospective customers on products, services, and support
Research and qualify new leads; making outbound calls to potential customers and following up on leads to develop long term business partners
Building and maintaining a book of business in a geographical area
Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
Answering current and potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email
Maintaining expert level knowledge of all products, service information and updates
Executing on pre-set targets and call metrics as determined by manager
Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers
Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
Staying informed about competing products and services
Upselling products and services
Maintaining and updating an accurate log of activity in the CRM system (Salesforce)
Performing other duties as assigned
Skills
Highschool diploma is required, and college education is a plus
Knowledge of auto industry is a plus
Two years’ experience in an Internal Account Manger role or call center environment a plus
Exceptional communication skills– both written and verbal– and the ability to build a genuine rapport with prospects over the phone promptly
Influential and skilled in persuasion
Strong listening and sales skills
Excellent phone and cold calling skills
In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Driven and resourceful in finding new approaches to ensure his/her message is resonating with potential customers
Ability to problem-solve and identify process efficiencies and improvements
