Spring Arbor Senior Living in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented part-time Maintenance Assistant for our community.

  • Availability to 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. on some weekdays (weekends only if needed)
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior maintenance work experience, preferred
  • Previous driving experience
  • Patience and desire to work with seniors
  • Dependable
  • Pleasant, friendly, and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service
  • Ability to learn tasks and follow written and oral instructions

WHAT YOU WILL DO!

  • Clean carpets and floors
  • Paint as required
  • Move and clean furniture when necessary
  • Prepare rooms for incoming residents
  • Repair light fixtures, furniture, and minor electrical and plumbing problems as needed
  • Outside landscaping as required (mow, mulch, weed wack, leaf blow)
  • Maintain all outside lighting, ensure it is in working order
  • Repair and/or clean the company vehicle as needed
  • Clean gutters when necessary
  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots
  • Transport residents according to an established schedule
  • Assist coworkers with other duties as needed in other areas of the community to include but not limited to transportation, housekeeping, food service
