Position Summary:

Membership Officer establishes new, full-service relationships with multiple product offerings and to deepen current account relationships by cross-selling Diamond's products and services at all member touch points, while providing an exceptional member service experience.
Work Location:

• Assigned Branch location.
• Ability to travel between branch locations when needed.

Essential Functions:

• Attract and educate new and prospective members on the credit union, its benefits, and services.
• Conduct new member interview; ability to recommend appropriate products and solutions through asking open questions, conversation and analyzing responses to identify the various individual needs of our members.
• Maintain and deepen current account relationships through cross selling; ability to understand how to present features, the corresponding benefits, and the value our products and services can provide to members with differing needs.
• Support branch development initiatives, execute and possibly champion assigned branch development tactics, and meet individual goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct reports.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Demonstrated dedication to positive, member-focus service.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Available to work Thursday until 7:15 PM and Friday until 6:15 PM on a rotation basis.
• Ability to travel between branches.

Education / Experience:

• Associate degree in business administration, accounting, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Three plus years of sales/service experience, preferably within a financial institution.
