Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Needed in Town and Country, Missouri
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an SLPA, you will work closely with our licensed speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans and assist clients in improving their communication skills. - ASAP - End of School Year (possible renewal)
- Elementary Caseload
Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in conducting assessments to evaluate clients' communication abilities.
- Implement therapy plans developed by licensed speech-language pathologists, including individual and group sessions.
- Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions, guiding them through exercises and activities designed to improve speech, language, and cognitive skills.
- Document client progress and communicate observations to the supervising speech-language pathologist.
- Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including teachers, parents, and caregivers, to support clients' overall development and progress.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) from an accredited program.
- Previous experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
