About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a VMWare System Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) from a regionally accredited institution. BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Sciences, Information Technology, or Software Engineering strongly preferred.
  • Must be available to work onsite at Knox or Carson. Preferably Knox as it's our primary site.
  • Administer VMware virtual environments to include ESXi hosts, vCenter appliances, VxRail HCIs, and VSANs with high availability.
  • Advanced knowledge of Red Hat 7/8 Operating Systems and Red Hat applications such as Satellite, Identity Manager, and more.
  • Download, stage and deploy systems-related security policies and updates to maintain information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.)
  • A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs.
  • Good knowledge of blade and blade enclosure systems; external Disk Arrays, RAID levels, NFS; SAN architecture, multipathing, WWNs, iSCSI
  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic computer hardware and software fundamentals
  • Great passion to learn and quick learner.
  • High feasibility and able to adapt to change quickly.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge in systems administration activities and demonstrate high-level skills with extensive proficiency. Having knowledge and experience, able to handle seldom occurring job events.
  • Available for off hour support when required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be organized and could manage projects of varying length.
  • Certification: At least one of the following certifications: Citrix or other VDI certifications; VMware Certified Professional; RHCSA or higher
  • Certification: Security +
  • Security Clearance required.

Education and Years of Experience: Computer Science Degree, 6+ years of experience

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: RHEL Cert, VMWare Cert
