 Kelly® is seeking an Assembly Line Lead to work Full-Time at with an industry-leading company and manufacturer of Thinking Putty® in Norristown, PA.  This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, and the pay is $20 per hour 1st Shift position:  8am-4pm, Monday-Friday.

What’s a typical day as an Assembly Line Lead? You’ll be:
• Leading the Assembly staff members and the manufacturing line of finished goods.
• Ensuring quality, safety, and production goals are met.
• Keeping the work area clean, neat, safe, and organized.
• Understanding and following safety procedures.
• Being proficient in daily operational procedures of the equipment on the production line.
• Working with Assembly staff to ensure quality control expectations are met.
• Reporting any QC issues with incoming raw materials to the supervisor.
• Continuously improving operations and reducing QC failures.
• Organizing and cross-training Assembly Associates.
• Communicating staff issues, concerns, and accomplishments to the supervisor.
• Troubleshooting machines to keep the line moving.
• Moving materials and waste as needed to keep the line running smoothly.
• Reporting end-of-line production quantities to the supervisor.
• Finding ways to improve productivity and efficiency on each task throughout the line.
• Following proper documentation and safety procedures.
• Cross-training on other tasks in the Assembly room as needed.
• Conducting start-up meetings as directed by the supervisor.
• Abiding by the company's attendance policy.
• Maintaining concentration on the task at hand to ensure quality output.
• Assisting in other duties as reasonably requested by Departmental Supervision.
 
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have 3-5 years of production line experience, preferably in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Have a LEAN, 5S, Continuous Flow, and Value Stream Mapping background (a plus).
• Have strong computer skills, with specific experience using Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Have excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Are able to function positively in a team setting.
• Have the ability to motivate and direct staff to reach production goals.
• Have a high level of energy and positivity.
• Have strong math skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
