Direct hire opening for a CNC Machinist Operator. First and Second Shift Available.
1st Shift - 6 AM - 2:30 PM
2nd Shift - 2:30 PM - 1 AM
This position is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of CNC and Manual Grinding Machines and for maintaining a clean, well-organized work area. Set up computer numerical control (CNC) machine to perform and produce precision metal components; perform grinding process as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout.
Responsibilities
- Sets up CNC and Manual Grinding equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
- Operate CNC machines efficiently and ensure product quality.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machines using G-Code.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- 3+ years of previous CNC and/or manual machine set-up and operation experience.
- Training in CNC machine operations is preferred.
- Any experience in the following is a plus:
- CNC models – Doosan, Mori-Seki, Okuma, Multus, Star Swiss, Tsugami, Kitamura, Chiron, Leadwells, Thread Roll, & Grinders.
- G-Code, Mastercam or ESPRIT software.
- calipers, micrometers, standard handheld gages, optical comparators, thread plugs & rings, or running Keyence, RAM, or CMM.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of machining tools and equipment.
- Understanding of safety protocols and practices.
