Staff Accountant

Our client has an opening that can be flexible in hours as long as the person filling it will commit to at least half-days every day.  Then, depending on the experience level and willingness of the individual selected and the design of the role, this could either be designed as a full-time job or become a permanent part-time position. 

At a minimum, the responsibilities that need to be handled for this community organization will include:

• posting accounts receivable (strong emphasis on experience in AR)
• overseeing the payables entries into the system
• tracking bank balances
• preparing monthly financial reports and other activity reports
• handling bank deposits

There would be a variety of other special projects for the position to assist, in order to expand the hours if necessary.  Any candidate for the role should bring strong bookkeeping knowledge; the ability to navigate and troubleshoot computer network systems; and experience in sourcing and negotiating with vendors.  There are excellent benefits available for an employee who works a full-time schedule, and the work opportunity is unlike any other in the exposure to the community.  It's a match for someone who enjoys being in the center of all the activity and hopes to be asked to join in some tasks that are outside of the every day routine, even including special events and workshops where you can help represent the organization.
