Machine Operator for Structural Steel Fabrication
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Livonia, MI within the Steel Product Manufacturing industry.
Machine Operator Job Summary:
- $18.00- 21.00/ hour based on experience.
- 1st Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday – Friday, Overtime on Saturday as necessary
- 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 10:00pm Monday – Friday, Overtime on Saturday as necessary
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred, however on the job training will be provided where needed for the safe and productive operation of the following machines:
- PythonX CNC Plasma
- 12 ft – 320-ton Hydraulic Press Brake
- 4 ft – 60-ton Hydraulic Press Brake
- Ocean Clipper – Angle Line
- Trumpf 3500-watt Laser Plate and Sheet Cutter
- Wear properly fitted PPE, including but not limited to gloves, face shields, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and welding hoods.
- Receive work order; obtain and organize materials; ensure all materials being used are accurate and in compliance with specifications and quality control program; job task and order of process planning.
- Work in an efficient, safe, and productive manner.
- Safely operate equipment such as cranes, fork trucks, grinders, saws, and welding machines.
- Maintain, support, and follow all standards as specified in the Quality Management System.
- Provide support to other employees on essential job functions when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and maintain shop floor organization and cleanliness as directed by management.
- May be trained on various machines as needed.
- Must be able and willing to learn.
- Engage in other related duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- 2+ years related experience preferred.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must demonstrate and maintain a courteous and professional attitude.
