Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled hands-on CNC Operator to join our team on the 1st shift (8-5pm). The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality precision parts and products for our clients. The CNC Operator will be required to perform various tasks such as programming, operating, and maintaining the machines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform cutting, drilling, milling and laser operations.
- Interpret job tickets, engineering drawings, shop drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished part, as well as the sequence of operations.
- Develop CNC programs and adjust settings to control the speed and feed of the machines.
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure that they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with CNC machines and make necessary adjustments and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep them in good working order.
- Collaborate with production team members to ensure that production schedules are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a CNC operator or similar role.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code.
- Knowledge of speeds and feeds for various materials
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to adhere to them at all times.
