CNC Machinist/Operator 3rd Shift

Work Hours:

3rd Shift: 10 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

Direct Hire and full benefits eligible after 30 days!

Training during 1st or 2nd shift for up to 4 weeks.

Hourly rate includes a $2.00 shift differential

Please join our world-leading superabrasives company where you’ll put your machining skills to work as part of a highly skilled team. You’ll be engaged as a CNC machinist/operator at Precision Swiss, an Abrasive Technology company, producing complex and detailed parts for a wide range of markets. Experience with Citizen CNC Swiss machining equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

•  Program, set up, and operate multiple Swiss turn machines throughout the shift and produce high quality parts within tolerances.
• Be able to make offset adjustments, adjust tooling, and maintain fluids in the Citizen CNC Swiss Mill.
• Set and load all tools following set-up instructions to complete all assigned jobs.
• Familiarity with inspection equipment such as calipers/micrometer/profile projector.
• Operate and Load Bar feeder and measure bar stock.
• Problem solves to resolve any deviations from work instructions.
• Be part of a small but friendly, tight-knit team.
• Ability to multitask, work fast with accuracy in an unstructured environment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

 Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• 2+ years machining experience, or equivalent education from a trade school or vocational program.
• Experience working with Swiss Turn machining equipment, specifically Citizen, a plus.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong attention to detail with high standards for quality of work produced.
• Detail-oriented with a mechanical aptitude.
• Must follow all company PPE requirements and safety policies.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
