Snack Shack Line Cook

Snack Shack Line Cook is responsible for operating and handling the concession stand. Work responsibilities will include food preparation, selling food and drinks, collecting money, tendering change, and following proper food sanitation and rotation practices when receiving orders from vendors. Accuracy with money and change is extremely important. Workers must be welcoming and friendly to all patrons and staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome guests who approach the concession stand
• Take orders for food and beverages and prepare food items, using appropriate quantities of ingredients
• Follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and packing activities
• Acquaint customers with prices and packing options and follow instructions regarding portions and packing
• Process cash payments and tender change, along with ensuring that all received cash is well-accounted for and stored in a safe area
• Participate in the set-up of concession stands, arrange inventory of supplies and communicate shortages to the Food Service Coordinator
• Handle light bookkeeping duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold
• Clean and maintain food preparation equipment such as grills, fryers, on a daily basis
• Perform opening/closing cleaning procedures
• Responsible for daily/weekly cleaning procedures
