Responsibilities:

• Protect the excellent guest experience we deliver at Westbound & Down
• Lead the team in Line Cooking knowledge
• Assist in training new line cooks
• Maintain cultural standards in workforce
• Support all elements of service making sure all members of team are set up for success
• Maintain the highest food quality standards
• Execute Chef Teams food menu to the highest level of quality
• Keep the kitchen line clean by assisting in daily, weekly and monthly duties
• Help maintain labor goals by keeping staff streamlined
• Open to scheduling adjustments
• Other duties as assigned by Chef & Sous Chef

Skills:

• Solid understanding of temperatures for proteins
• Proper holding/ cooling temperatures & methods
• Understand functions of gas/ electrical equipment
• Knowledge regarding sanitization and cross contamination
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
• Flexibility to adjust to new or unexpected scenarios
• Ability to work well with others

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Some holidays
• Opening shift
• Closing shift
• Weekend availability
