Line Haul Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Line Haul Supervisor to oversee and manage our line haul operations. The Line Haul Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient movement of freight between different locations. This includes coordinating with drivers, monitoring schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics operations.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee the line haul operations, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of freight.
- Coordinate with drivers to schedule pick-up and delivery times, optimizing routes for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor driver performance and provide feedback and coaching to improve productivity and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOT and HOS regulations.
- Review and update operational procedures to improve productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the line haul process, including delays, breakdowns, or customer complaints.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as dispatch and maintenance, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of line haul operations, including driver logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety among line haul drivers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve line haul operations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in line haul operations, with a track record of successfully managing drivers and meeting targets.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and motivate a team.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including transportation management systems and GPS tracking.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and find innovative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
