INTRODUCTION

Front Desk Supervisor’s responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities are responsible for obtaining or receiving tickets and merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payments, and making changes for customers in the camp store. Assisting with the essential functions of the resort Café.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Take messages, and redirect calls to appropriate offices
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities
  • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate office equipment, such as scanners, printers, etc
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
  • Operate computer reservation system
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
  • Perform various clerical tasks as needed (sorting mail, paper filing, etc
  • Provide local information on restaurants, special sites, activities, etc
  • Effectively operate POS system to correctly assign payments for tickets and merchandise, including accepting payments and providing accurate change.
  • Calculate sales discount to determine the price.
  • Understand the essential functions of the resort café including; making coffee, scooping ice cream, and making milkshakes.
  • Maintaining upkeep and cleanliness of the café by sweeping floors and wiping counters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Provides regular and reliable attendance

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Previous retail experience
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or hospitality industry preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and multi-line telephone; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to lift office products and supplies to 20 pounds occasionally.

The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as expected with your normal job duties.
