As we continue to grow, we are seeking candidates to fill a Battery Manufacturing Engineer - Launch role to support US based operations.

Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and improving the process flow of a specific battery production stage, maintaining process efficiency, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Job Functions

The following job function statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of this position:

  1. Develop and launch all new manufacturing processes.
  2. Collaborate with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex automation equipment.
  3. Closely collaborate with external equipment integrators on custom automation equipment.
  4. Manage external equipment integrators from equipment development through handover to local operations team.
  5. Install, Commission and qualify new equipment and fixtures for production implementation.
  6. Troubleshoot processes capability and stability through root cause analysis and DOE.
  7. Establish and improve the process flow of a specific battery production stage.
  8. Develop and maintain process documents such as Work Instructions (WI) and Operation Instructions (OI), as well as conducting training for production employees.
  9. Utilize methods such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), lessons learned and continuously improve the manufacturing process.
  10. Implement lean improvement in the process to enhance product yield, process capability, and reduce costs.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Knowledge and Skill:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Minitab, CAD, and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge and experience in quality tools such as DOE, FMEA, and 8D.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in different stages of the lithium battery process is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in battery process related field

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
