DESCRIPTION:


Primary responsibilities include organizing and coordinating the efforts of manufacturing inspectors/quality technicians on an on-going basis to ensure quality standard operating procedures are complied with to ensure all products conform to established quality assurance standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise manufacturing/quality technicians performing work cell, organizing workflow and coordinating efforts to meet the priorities laid out by team leaders.
Conduct on-going training, performance reviews, and take disciplinary action as needed.
Ensure all Quality Assurance Requirements (QAR) are being followed and met by all shifts.
Approve or reject visual inspections using the QAR and General Appearance Samples.
Handle adjustment request forms as liaison between the QAT and process technicians and work to bring within standards.
Perform visual 5S and report deficiencies for immediate or long-term corrective action.
Interface with the IPIs, QATs, Materials, and Production personnel to ensure efficient resolution of problems.
Ensure communication of recurring problems not being addressed are forwarded to management.
Monitor nonconforming items program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates, bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
Manufacturing experience with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analyses.
Be in a current supervisory role with direct reports.
Must have experience in CMM, GD&T, Vision Systems and Minitab.
Demonstrated teaching skills, with a desire and the ability to train and mentor others.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills in a manufacturing environment.
Previous quality control experience to include data collection and quality analytics.
Knowledge of data collection and some Statistical Quality/Process Control.
Excellent written/verbal communications and organizational skills.
Flexibility to work additional hours and weekends when necessary.
Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
