Robot Operator & Maintenance - Aulander, N.C. - $1000 SIGNING BONUS

In this role, you will work under the direction of a site manager to complete grass cutting on the Aulander Solar Project in North Carolina. This project is 1,000 acres and will require multiple mows throughout the year. You will be using riding mowers to perform the cutting in addition to Swap’s proprietary semi-autonomous robots. Occasionally, string trimming under the panels may be required.

**IMPORTANT: candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently around the US, and stay on sites for up to several weeks at a time.

Contract from April 1 - Oct 31, 2024 with the option to be extended till the end of the growing season as needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Hours of work are daylight hours
  
• Potential for evening shifts and weekends
  
• Grass cutting utilizing company equipment including; robots, riding mowers and occasionally string trimming
  
• Loading and unloading of trailers and trucks
  
• Supervision of robots over several hours of operation
  
• Site to site travel within the US and site stays

Required Skills/Experience:

• Valid driver's license + clean driving history
  
• Commercial driving license as an asset
  
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including freezing temperatures, snow, heat, humidity, rain and muddy/ swampy conditions
  
• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods
  
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently
  
• Ability to work in the AM and PM, including on weekends
  
• Ability to live away from home base for several weeks at a time (housing provided)
  
• Small engine maintenance an asset
