Offering over 20 years of experience, Onix Hospitality currently owns and manages eight award-winning, top-performing hotels in the Mid-Atlantic region and Florida, operating over 1,000 hotel rooms across its growing portfolio and serving more than half million customers annually. We are currently looking for a Task Force Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Task Force Manager is responsible for providing temporary management support and operational expertise to Onix Hospitality hotels through periods of renovations, rebranding, management transit, or other critical situations. This role requires a seasoned hospitality professional with exceptional leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, and communication skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the hotel during transitional periods

  • Interim Management: Assume temporary leadership roles within hotels experiencing transitions, including General Manager, Director of Operations, or other key positions as needed

  • Operational Oversight: Evaluate the current operational performance of the hotel and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and direction to hotel staff to maintain high standards of service delivery and guest experience

  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure profitability and adherence to financial targets.

  • Guest Experience: Focus on enhancing the overall guest experience by implementing service improvement initiatives and resolving guest concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.

  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of hotel staff.

  • Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication channels with hotel owners, corporate stakeholders, and team members to provide updates on progress, challenges, and recommendations.

  • Crisis Management: Effectively manage crisis situations such as natural disasters, security incidents, or other emergencies to ensure the safety of guests and staff while minimizing disruptions to hotel operations.

  • Project Management: Coordinate with various departments and external vendors to execute renovation projects, rebranding initiatives, or other strategic changes within the hotel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

  • Extensive experience in hotel management, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles with multiple hotel brands.

  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and marketing.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and revenue management.

  • Flexibility to travel frequently and work in various locations as needed.

  • Certification in Hotel Management or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CHA, CHIA) is a plus.
