Custodian/Maintenance Tech

Research & Development Machinist

For over 75 years Cascade Pump has been a leader in Low Lift high volume Industrial water pump manufacturing. We are looking for a Custodian/Maintenance Tech.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily checks on all CNC's, Manual Lathes, and Band Saw.
• Daily checks of the Restrooms and ensures all supplies needed are stocked for the day. 
• Sweeps and Mops restrooms weekly.
• Daily checks of the office area (trash cans, loads and unloads the dishwasher, maintains the patio area). 
• Repairs all airline and replaces all fittings. 
• Conducts weekly inspection on all overhead cranes throughout out the plants. 
• Conducts monthly inspections on all fire extinguishers in the plant. 
• Collects and maintains all brass, bronze, or mixed metals for recycling. 
• Repairs and replaces small grinders throughout the plant for various departments.

Skills Required:

• Must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 25 pounds often and safely move materials more than but not limited to 2k lbs. daily VIA forklift.
• Ability to squat, sit, stand, walk, reach daily and as needed to perform all job functions. 
• Forklift Certification (Must pass operating and written test.  Training will be provided by the company).
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment. 
• Must be able to follow procedures, best practices, and report usage and unprofessional behavior. 
• Experience in a manufacturing environment. 
• Minimum 1 year janitorial/custodian experience (3 years preferred).
