Summary

The Materials Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations within the LOC, and is responsible for all aspects of Operations and Account Management. Mainly responsible for the leadership of direct reports as well as the attainment of daily operational goals within his/her assigned functional area.

Essential Functions

  • Managing a team of employees and monitoring their attendance and performance
  • Respond to customer requests and concerns, ensure completion to customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to Ryder safety protocols and procedures
  • Create and maintain reports to assist with process improvement and efficiency
  • Review and address "hot parts"
  • Problem solve failures and address root causes
  • Support the operations team to ensure production line runs without issue
  • Ensure process changes are reviewed with team
  • Ensure critical parts are identified and communicated with the floor

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Off shift support in the event of critical customer network disruption or crisis

Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
  • Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
  • One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced required
  • Logistics industry knowledge advanced required
  • Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components. intermediate required
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required
