Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (Must be flexible)


Salary: $45,760 - $52,000/yr.


As a Custodian, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within assigned areas. This includes routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing floors, and polishing surfaces. Additionally, you'll be tasked with dusting and polishing furniture, emptying waste receptacles, sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies, cleaning windows and mirrors, and organizing custodial supplies and equipment. Your role will also involve coordinating the purchase of cleaning supplies, moving furniture and equipment for events, and performing various routine custodial tasks as needed. Attendance and active participation in meetings and training sessions are required. You may need to work overtime and maintain a flexible schedule to complete assignments and cover shifts. Other duties include demonstrating cultural awareness, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards, handling confidential information responsibly, and fulfilling any other related tasks as required by the organization.


Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a U.S. high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent certification from a U.S. institution, or a California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) certificate. Additionally, candidates should have 1 to 2 years of prior experience in a Custodian or similar role, along with a valid California Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record maintained with the DMV. Required certifications and licenses must be included with the application. Preferred qualifications include previous custodial or janitorial experience, familiarity with building maintenance methods, materials, and equipment, as well as adherence to safe work practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational abilities, flexibility in managing time and tasks independently, and meticulous attention to detail. Successful applicants will exhibit creativity, self-motivation, and adaptability in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
