JOB SUMMARY:
Performs administrative and cycle counting tasks in support of manufacturing related activities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

• Performs daily transactions of incoming receipts

• Keying of supplier receipts into the mainframe programs.
• Notification and investigation of discrepancies.
• Resolution and reconciliation of outstanding receipts.

• Performs daily movement transactions

• Administrating relocation movements into the mainframe programs.
• Notification of key contacts of discrepancies.

• Performs daily cycle counting activities

• Download negative balance reports from report writer on MRP System
• Cycle count parts
• Operates high lift equipment to gain access to inventory
• Monitor movements in the warehouse for proper inventory control
• Enter cycle count transactions into MRP System
• Analyze inventory accuracy and transaction activities
• Review accuracy issues and make corrective action recommendations
• Update Cycle Count Logs

• Produce Kanban cards when required
• Report month end inventory of certain parts to Inventory Systems Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned

SCOPE & IMPACT: Accountable for accurate daily transactions that influence the efficiency of the plant production. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

• High School diplomas with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Access
• Strong analytic stills to understand data and be willing to investigate discrepancies
• Above average keypunching speed with high level of accuracy
• Must be able to count quickly and accurately
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good attendance record
• Strong attention to detail
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds repetitively
• Safety conscious
• Specialized training in materials management principles and techniques a plus
• Knowledge of Bar Coding methods for inventory management a plus

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

• Associates degree in Business or related field preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Generally operates in office surroundings, regular exposure to noise and equipment consistent with a manufacturing environment.
